Vaarnii’s pinewood lounge chair is a veritable statement piece – created by Max Lamb, the chair boasts a bold, robust design that is crafted in Finland from solid pinewood. Although seemingly hard and bulky, the chair is surprisingly comfortable to sit on due to the convex recesses in its seat and backrest. The curves simultaneously add an interesting visual detail to the lounge chair’s simple and straightforward construction, along with the natural grain of the wood material.

- Pine is a soft wood and will suffer some dents and scratches over time, which should be embraced and enjoyed as characterful signs of aging. Pine will naturally change color as it ages with your pale piece of furniture gradually maturing to a beautiful honey color over the course of several years.
- Care instructions
- Use a microfiber cloth when dusting Vaarnii products. Do not use any solvents on wood, only water is recommended.

Max Lamb (born in 1980) is an acclaimed British designer known for his original – if not obstinate – design language: true to his unique approach, he creates modern classics that are often like pieces of art, yet still exceedingly functional. A graduate from London’s Royal College of Art, Lamb favours natural, uncomplicated materials like wood and metal, skilfully reshaping them with a combination of traditional and highly innovative methods.
